I Was Writing & I Got Logged Out - Is Everything Gone?
Solution
Unfortunately, yes.

The HPFF 'Add A Chapter' page is not a place to compose your stories. The HPFF login session will expire after approximately 15 minutes of inactivity and, remember, if you aren't refreshing a page or visiting a different page, the site will consider you inactive. Thus, authors who attempt to write their chapters in the 'Add A Chapter' page will find that, by the time they attempt to post, their account has gone inactive and their chapters will be lost. Instead, compose on your computer in a piece of software like Word or even Notepad.

That is exactly the problem I'm having. When I press "Preview", it does not take me to "Submit". It tells me to log in. I'm going to try this. Thanks! I have a question though. If, while you are writing a chapter, you press refresh then will your account still be logged on?

Reply from staff: For future reference, this is not an area to ask questions. Please use the troble tickets for that. However, if you press refresh on that page, yes, you will remain logged in but, in the mean time, all of your information will be lost every time you refresh and if you foret, you may be logged out anyway. It is better to compose ina text editor and import the content to the site.

Oh my goodness. I have re-typed this one chapter 3 times now without even realizing what i was doing. I'm still unsure of how to fix it though. I don't know how to put it in the submit box from word.
