Post Counts
Post Counts
Solution
Your post count is simply a tally of how many times you've posted on the forum. You can find your post count by clicking your own name on the forums.
You'll also notice, above your name, that you've been labeled a First Year and that, periodically, this changes to Second Year, etc...
Those titles are based on your Post Count and change as follows:
New Student - 0 Posts
First Year - 30 Posts
Second Year - 200 Posts
Third Year - 300 Posts
Fourth Year - 500 Posts
Fifth Year - 800 Posts
Sixth Year - 1000
Seventh Year - 1500
Teacher - 4000
Professor - 5000
Please note, your "Rank" is different than your "Group", which is broken down as follows:
New Member - 0 posts
Member - at least 3 VALIDATED posts, including those in the New Member section
Member+ - 150
Member Elite - 300
Prefect/Staff - N/A
Member. (or Member.., other) - group reserved for members on restricted access
While it is fun to see how long you've been on the board and great to show of your seniority and knowledge of all things Harry Potter, spamming to increase your post count will result in a warning.
UPDATE (July 09): The Active Posts number on your profile page shows how many active posts you currently have on the board. The post number under your avatar is a reflection of the total posts you have made (including deleted ones). Changing rank and group is based on your total active posts. Totals may drop as the software updates the counts from the database and old posts are removed.
